The CORE-Logos "Crown Proof" — ADR-0015's claim that cross-language holonomy
closure is THE validation gate of meaning — was measured against a criterion
registered before the run, and refused.
G1 separation, all negatives AUC 0.557 (chance 0.500, bar 0.80) FAIL
G2 hardest class, cross-pairing AUC 0.664 (bar 0.75) FAIL
G3 word-order sensitivity 0.644 (bar 0.90) FAIL
G4 no collapse re-entry 0 lost (bar: 0) PASS
G4 is the half that succeeded: the repairs work. The claim is what failed --
which is the outcome the registration called "worth as much as a GO", because
it retires the largest piece of unearned design in the system.
Both preconditions had to be BUILT before the question could be asked at all,
which is why the 2026-06-14 negative constrained nothing: the shipped compiler
collapsed 37-53 coordinates, and holonomy_encode never closed. Measured on the
repaired ground with a genuine loop, over 1,016 aligned pairs and 58,375
mechanically-generated negatives in three classes, nothing hand-picked.
Diagnosis, not just a number: the encoding reacts more strongly to REORDERING a
clause (median deviation 41.2) than to CHANGING WHAT IT IS ABOUT (32.2). It
measures path shape, not content -- and that follows from the algebra, since
permutation acts on an ordered product through non-commutativity, a first-order
effect, while substituting one of three factors perturbs it only through that
factor. The negative classes do order correctly by meaning-distance
(aligned 27.2 < lexical 32.2 < order 41.2 < cross-pair 53.2), so the geometry is
weak signal rather than noise -- a correlation where the design asked for a gate.
Consequences, all landed here:
* ADR-0005 and ADR-0015 AMENDED to record the refusal. The three-language
architecture, the pack contract, morphology-as-structure and Hebrew root
folding into geometry all survive untouched; only the claim that alignment
or closure VALIDATES meaning is retired.
* tests/test_fa1_gate_verdict.py is the tripwire: if a future encoding makes
the gate real, it fails, and the amendment is withdrawn in the same commit
that replaces it with a proof. Two sabotages observed red.
* allow_cross_language_recall RULED by measurement (work-order item 3): it
gates vault-recall depth over field states, has no language argument and no
cross-language path, and reaches only walk_surface, which runtime_contracts
declares telemetry. Stays ON, reclassified DEPLOYMENT, flip condition
recorded. G-25's own claim that it was "the pillar's own switch" is
CORRECTED -- that read the flag's name instead of its call graph, which is
the error the audit exists to find.
* A sixth defect found while building the harness: en_collapse_anchors_v1
declares role "collapse_anchor", which is not a LanguageRole member, so
load_pack() raises. It is registered in the resolver, consumed by opening
lexicon.jsonl on a raw path that bypasses the loader, and is the target of
all 24 alignment edges that still resolve to nothing. The enum's own comment
records the identical failure once before (ADR-0097, domain_seed).
The repairs cross to the keel on their own merit regardless of the verdict:
geodesic blending removes every coordinate collision, and mount-wide edge
resolution connects 39 of the 63 dead edges. The collapse was damaging English's
own vocabulary; seeing that required no theory of meaning.
FA-1 is CLOSED: all four work-order items discharged, L2 verdict recorded as
defective-but-repairable with its central design claim retired.
[Verification]: uv run core test --suite smoke -q -> 786 passed in 239.45s, EXIT=0
(+4 tests, +15s vs the prior 782/224s -- the FA-1 pin's stated cost).
Doc-parsing pins re-run after the ADR and register amendments:
test_adr_status_governance + test_adr_index -> 321 passed;
test_flag_register -> 6 passed.
`packs.compiler._blend_feature_versors` ignores its strength argument and
returns the target verbatim. All three "nudge" sites — cross-language alignment
(0.10), morphology clustering (0.40), mount-time domain resonance (0.40) — are
therefore total overwrites, and ADR-0015's two explicit requirements ("a
weighted graph, not a translation table"; "without flattening their
distinctions") are violated bit-exactly.
Measured: mounting the depth packs onto English REMOVES 37 distinct coordinates
(239 surfaces -> 202 points). English alone is collision-free (220/220), Greek
alone is collision-free (11/11), so the loss is created by the mount. Nine
English question words -- ask, question, what, who, where, how, why, when,
which -- share one coordinate, dragged there by a single Greek verb in their
primary domain. `word`, `דבר`, `דברים` and `λόγος` are one point. English is the
mount-time prototype, so the design's depth-anchor roles run backwards: the
depth languages are deleted into the articulation surface.
Four more findings in the same layer:
* 63 of 83 authored alignment edges resolve to nothing -- including every edge
of the two packs serving actually grounds HE/GRC against -- because
`_infer_foreign_pack_ids` maps id prefixes through a table hardcoded to the
original three packs, and a miss is a silent `continue`. The corpus was
grown 7.5x; the growth was never connected.
* `algebra.holonomy.holonomy_encode` never closes. The reverse walk was
deleted at fca6216e and the docstring describing it left in place; `alpha`
is validated and never read (alpha=0.0 and alpha=1.0 return bit-identical
arrays) while core/physics/biography.py:94 passes it.
* Four token-level "resonance proofs" are green because the compared arrays
are the same array -- the open follow-up the 2026-06-14 clause-level finding
explicitly deferred, now closed as decoration.
* The cure was already one layer down and never called: algebra/rotor.py has
shipped `rotor_power` + `word_transition_rotor` (the group geodesic) since
the algebra layer's first commit. A naive lerp leaves the versor group and
VocabManifold.update() correctly refuses it -- the overwrite is what a lerp
degrades into once the guard bites. The guard was right; the escape was not.
This is the missing half of every "geometry adds nothing" verdict: no operator
can distinguish what its ground does not distinguish.
Lands as instrument, not repair -- ../core is the quarry, and L2 is rebuilt in
the keel with these measurements as its provenance. The four decoration tests
are deliberately left standing and named in the analysis doc: green-for-the-
wrong-reason and red are different signals, and replacing them belongs to the
rebuild.
* evals/logos/manifold_collapse.py -- deterministic, bit-exact census
* tests/test_manifold_collapse_floor.py -- both directions plus the
English-alone control that attributes the loss to the mount. Two sabotages
observed red: a real interpolation (ValueError from the versor guard, which
is how the cure was found) and disabling the mount site (37 -> 3, which is
how the 34/2/1 site attribution was measured).
Also lands the FA-1 gate PRE-REGISTRATION -- criterion, corpus, negative
classes and anti-gaming rules committed here so they demonstrably predate any
discrimination number, per the ADR-0252 §5 precedent. The repairs it tests are
mechanism (the geodesic, the closed loop, fail-closed edge resolution), not
tuning; the declared strengths are used as written and are not free parameters.
Charter and gap register corrected where this contradicts them: the corpus is
83 edges not 11, the holonomy machinery is not core/physics/digest.py, and
FA-1's "the gate has never been measured" was false -- the 2026-06-14 negative
exists and is pinned. That error, made in the document that records the
three-negatives correction, is the fourth instance of the pattern this arc
keeps finding, and is recorded as such rather than quietly fixed.
[Verification]: uv run core test --suite smoke -q -> 782 passed in 224.37s, EXIT=0
The foundations audit's rebuild question is answered: rebuild the assembly,
keep the parts and the evidence. Charter and scaffolding live in the new trunk
(../coreai @ bf9942b — K0 complete, constitutional pins sabotage-verified);
this repo stays the serving system and evidence quarry during migration,
shrinking under ratchet. FA-1 (the holonomy-gate experiment) runs here, where
the machinery lives; its verdict gates the keel's L3 design.

Two things this commit does, in the order they were discovered.
1. PHASE 1 CORRECTED. The perception arc's operator experiment is
substantially already run, with three negative results found only by
import-graph census (373 of 666 modules unreachable from serving — grep
of the serving path was the wrong instrument, and this is the second time
this session that a method hole, not a fact hole, hid the evidence):
- 2026-06-04 field-reasoner wedge: translator versors on e1 -> C3,
decoration (wrong=0 held; caught zero symbolic errors; diversity 0)
- 2026-07-19 relational operator ablation: CGA dilation VersorBinding ->
identical to rational baseline 2/8; depth inert; enrich=decoration
- 2026-07-28 ADR-0252 §5: point configurations under Procrustes -> NO-GO
Convergent mechanism: geometry isomorphic to the arithmetic reproduces it
exactly and adds nothing. Binding constraint in all three: the reader.
Reopening criterion recorded so this is never re-proposed blind.
2. THE FOUNDATIONS AUDIT (docs/plans/2026-07-28-foundations-audit.md) now
precedes the perception arc. Method: bottom-up, and no component counts as
understood until four articulations carry evidence — intrinsic correctness,
role in its subsystem, the subsystem's role in the system, and every seam
with its live/dark status. A defect at layer N silently invalidates the
mastery of everything above it, and this repo has proven the invalidations
are real (the empty-set daemon; the dark faithful reader).
FA-1 / G-25 — CORE-LOGOS, tested before the charter was written. The user's
suspicion is CORRECT and now exact: ADR-0005/0015 make cross-language holonomy
resonance THE validation gate of meaning ("This is the CORE-Logos proof"), and
what exists is 11 alignment edges + 9 HE morphology rows (the ADR's own
John1:1/Gen1:1 first cases, never grown), an HE veto that no-ops on English,
a recall bridge running on mystery ON-flag #1 (allow_cross_language_recall —
the pillar's own switch, undocumented), a registered hebrew_greek domain with
zero curriculum bands, and no path anywhere consulting holonomy as a gate.
Root folding into vectors and live holonomy machinery are real. Verdict:
architected, seeded exactly as designed, wired at three mutually-unaware
points, load-bearing nowhere. Everything above L2 currently operates over an
ungrounded semantic space.
The next experiment is therefore NOT a fourth operator-arithmetic ablation:
it is FA-1's pre-registered holonomy-gate question — does cross-language
holonomy closure discriminate meaning-preserving from meaning-breaking
articulation — which tests the geometry on the job the design actually
assigned it (resonance across representations), the one domain that is not
isomorphic to trivial symbolic computation.
Layer stack L0-L5 chartered with initial verdicts; census becomes a pinned
ratchet lane; Perception Arc Phase 0 and Phase 4 stand.
